Kingston, Jamaica (June 17, 2024) – The University Council of Jamaica (UCJ), the national external quality assurance agency for higher education, officially launched its new website on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. This is part of its ongoing efforts to improve the user experience for customers seeking to acquire information on external quality assurance in higher education in Jamaica.
The redesigned website includes a comprehensive listing of all accredited higher education institutions and programmes, as well as detailed information on the UCJ’s standards development and credential assessment initiatives. According to Mrs. Althea Heron, Executive Director, “We wanted to improve on our existing website to present a design that is visually appealing, easy to navigate, informative and representative of our commitment to assuring quality in higher education.”
The new website not only features an updated design and enhanced functionality but also includes a list of accredited programmes aligned with the National Qualifications Framework of Jamaica. Additionally, the website offers user-friendly navigation and streamlined access to essential information for students, educators, and other stakeholders. The UCJ’s new digital platform aims to provide an efficient and engaging experience for all visitors.
