Kingston, Jamaica: The University Council of Jamaica participated in the Jamaica Teachers’ Association’s 62nd Annual Conference, held from August 17 to 19, 2026, at Ocean Coral Spring and Eden Bay in Trelawny.
The UCJ attended the conference to increase educators’ awareness of its credential assessment services and the importance of selecting accredited institutions and programmes.
Held under the theme “Reformation Now: Rebuilding a Resilient Education System Buoyed by the Eternal Father & Unrelenting Unionism,” the three-day conference brought together teachers and other education stakeholders from across Jamaica.
Through its exhibition booth, the UCJ shared information about its role in promoting quality and standards in higher education. Representatives also guided attendees on verifying the accreditation status of institutions and programmes and responded to questions about credential assessment requirements and services.
The UCJ values the opportunity to engage directly with Jamaica’s educators and looks forward to continued collaboration in strengthening quality, public awareness and confidence across the education system.
