Under the general direction of the Chairman, the CEO/Executive Director is responsible for the management of the day-to-day affairs of the council ensuring that its operations conform to the provisions of the University Council of Jamaica Act, the Public Bodies Management and Accountability Act and all other laws, regulations and orders applicable to the Council’s activities and operations and provides for the regulation and advancement of higher education in Jamaica.
