The occasion was the inaugural International Conference on Educational Leadership & Management hosted by the National College for Education Leadership (NCEL) from February 21- 22, 2017 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston.

The University Council of Jamaica’s (UCJ) Communications team hosted a booth at the inaugural the National College on Education Leadership (NCEL) International Conference held from February 21-22, 2017 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. The conference, held under the theme, “Transforming Educational Leadership: Disrupting Narratives,” sought to challenge the thinking of delegates and addressed topics including: ‘Effective Principals’; ‘Leadership for 21st Century Learning’; and ‘Transformational Leadership’.

The Communications team used the opportunity to promote the UCJ’s role at the national External Quality Assurance Agency for tertiary education in Jamaica. The team also received helpful and positive feedback on the recently redesigned UCJ website from the marketing teams of The Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts; MIND; National Education Trust; several students and other participants attending the conference.
