On Saturday, November 26, 2016, the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ) participated in the National Parenting Supporting Commission’s (NPSC) Parent Village, held at the Hope Zoo in Kingston. The UCJ team supported the event by setting up an information booth and providing information about the UCJ’s functions and services, accreditation of programmes, registration of institutions, academic credential assessment and academic standards.

The event was the culmination of Parent Month, which was celebrated under the theme: “Become an Exceptional Parent…Stay Connected”The Parent Village was also an opportunity for the UCJ to connect with parents, prospective tertiary students and representatives from the agencies of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information.
