Mr. Stephen Edwards is a Civil Engineer and Educator who lectures Civil Engineering and Project Management in the Faculty of Engineering and Computing at the University of Technology, in Kingston Jamaica. He also has significant technical and management experience in the online business sector.
During his final year of High School at St. George’s College Mr. Edwards was awarded a full academic scholarship to attend Boston College, in Massachusetts, USA. While at Boston College he was elected the President of the ‘Caribbean Culture Club’ (CCC), and also founded the ‘Jamaican Association’ (JA) – an organization focused on the needs and issues of Jamaican Students.
At Boston College he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics. Mr. Edwards also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Florida International University (FIU), where he was inducted into the ‘Tau Beta Pi – Engineering Honour Society’, the ‘Chi Epsilon – Civil Engineering Honour Society’, and the ‘Golden Key Honour Society’. He then went on to earn a Master of Science Degree in Construction Management from FIU.
Over the years he has served Jamaica as a science teacher at the Holy Trinity High School and through involvement in various charitable organizations. He is also a member of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers (JIE).
